Seminar at InvestHK for Guangdong Association of Microcredit

With great support from InvestHK, HKIFA and Guangdong Association of Microcredit jointly organised a seminar focusing on making investment into Hong Kong and Fintech regulations in Hong Kong.


A delegation of approximately forty seasoned Fintech and microcredit industry practitioners from the Guangdong province and Hong Kong participated in this meaningful exchange of Fintech experience. Mr. Charles d' Haussy, Head of Fintech at InvestHK, provided an inspiring introduction of Hong Kong's Fintech development and trends as well as Hong Kong's role as the super-connector between the mainland and overseas parties. Ms. Frankie Tam, Vice President of HKIFA, provided an overview of the legal landscape relating to Fintech in Hong Kong.


Delegates also expressed their appreciation for the friendly and supportive Fintech environment in Hong Kong.

Ms Frankie Tam, Vice President of HKIFA.


Ms. Tam is a technology lawyer qualified in Hong Kong, New York State, and England and Wales. She recently advised an international technology client on a high profile data privacy project, and that project was named the Deal of Year Award by China Business Law Journal. She also advised a leading electronic payment system company in its application for a stored value facilities licence, and advised on a significant Regtech outsourcing project for a multinational listed financial institution.
